A. Compound Film Packaging
Compound film packaging is also called: the compound joining film packaging or the multi-layered hi-end film soft plastic packaging in order to maintain according to joining layer with the effect of gaining necessary time for the product. After joining many layers with specific material for a timing, these products can be kept until 2 years.

The products of above-quoted technology are used with the materials: BOPP,OPP,PELD,PELLD,PET,AL-FOIL,PEARLIZE,PP,PA,CPP,MCPP,MPET…after printing, we can join BOPP // PELD, PET // AO-FOIL // PELLD, BOPP // PELD , PET //AO-FOIL // PELD // PELLD…They use some of the above recipes for hi-end goods packaging, such as: coffee bag, cake, candy, noodle, hi-end food, cosmetic, medicine, soap, sterilize, exported seafood and domestic use, and packaging for other hi-end goods.
These technology was presented in the world market in 1969-1970.Although the equipment was imported to Viet Nam in 1974, but inapplicable. Until 1990, HoChiMinh City technological area was started up from State-owned Company Factory. The initial event was difficulty, but to 1993- 1994, technology and custom was stable gradually. Packaging technology mentioned above was very complex. Sometimes, error is invisible right after printing but only after compounding, even some days after delivering that the structure is below standard, objectively, if the compound film is peeled off, these products are affected when coming into the market, and there are many other exceptions.

The reasons why a technology brings such a high efficiency but only draws a few enterprises to invest in are: Although an area of 5.000 m2 and its construction according to standard are simple requirement for gradually bringing into operation the USD 3-million synchronous equipment! It should be understood that machinery is only part A, while part B is technology management, technical staff training, synchronous team creating for making stable product, it requires time and technicality as well as art in the technology. With regard to finance, it is in hand of many enterprises, and they also studied. However, only a few factories are developed until now.

B. Single Film Packaging (SAPLASTIC is producing and trading)
To understand more about the difference of hi-end soft plastic packaging in this plastic packaging industry, we present some ideas to explain to some extent for distinguishing more clearly about kinds of packaging to judge its value and complex in this technology as well as the use of packaging in part B mentioned above, mostly using materials from plastic grain PP and PE(PELD, PELLD).

a) Single film packaging is made of materials from plastic grain PE or PP which is pushed up, blown into pipe shape products, from this pipe, depending on size to make bags such as packaging bags serving customers in supermarket or fruit and flower products... If printed with a few of amount, silk- screen printing is normally used - and with big amount from 10000 bags, copper drum with chemical eroding technology (placing drum set on up-pushing/blowing machine), |
but these methods can separate one, two or three colors clearly. To gain higher performance, such as for joining film packaging, we have to turn drum, carve the copper pivot with electronic pivot carving machine – for printing from 5 colors up.
b) Packaging for containing rice, fertilizer, cement, cattle food is produced by methods: Draw PP plastic grain into film, cut into fiber, wrapped into core from each roll (many rolls), put into machine and weaved into pipe, next sent into sewing- machine for sewing its bottom in advance, and after products are put in, they will sew the left end. For some product requirements, PELD layer to be joined in inner side for maintaining products as required.
c) Both a+b packaging kinds are simple technological methods, when buying machine, its technology delivery and instruction are conducted before/after 10 days. So, manufacturers of this single film packing are many in the local and the whole country. Furthermore, its investment value is not as high as compound joining film packaging – However, its profit is low due to price competition.
