FOUR TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAMS

From the founding date, with the motto Product Quality is The Honor of an Enterprise, Saplastic manifested in accordance with the production process. To achieve that target, together with the synchronous construction and application of two ISO systems, four technological programs have been planned and executed throughout, gradually fine-tuned and improved, regularly raising the efficiency of all activities.

1. Comprehensive Technology

Exert to meet customers’ requirements about technique, food safety maintenance, mechanical and physical features, air and steam obstruction of packaging, stable quality standard.

As to food packaging market, Saplastic satisfies reasonable demand of air and steam obstruction, joint durability index, layer splitting force and self-life meeting required standard of customers.

2. Competitive Technology

Due to experience in Shin Han SH-1300 feature and at least through researching material technology, presently Company produced complex aluminum films (4 layers), PET/LLDPE films (3 layers)  with lower cost than competitors from 400 – 500 VND/m2, creating the difference in quality and competitive strength in this market segment.

However, due to the limitation in expanding production scale, Company has to choose customers, not yet able to expand to meet requirements of leaders and the whole officers – employees.

3.Fresh Technology

With the point of view “protect the earth is to protect common house of human being”, Company performed the production consistently according to policies:

a) Comply with law and other requirements relating to environment

b) Determine aspects having affect to environment during production to strictly control waste volume, build route to alternate chemicals of high environment affecting figure with the lesser (for example: alternate import methanol with ethanol produced from food alcohol in order to minimize the resource exhaustion)

c) Optimize the resource use in order to:

    • Save energy
    • Minimize waste
    • Control waste affecting environment

d)Control production environment according to ISO 14001: 2004

4. Optimize the input

a) 68% of materials imported from suppliers of world stature such as: DUPON, Exxon Mobil, Dow Chemical and of continent stature such as: Sakata Inx, TPC, Siam Cement Group, Polyplex, P&P… chosen by Saplastic with long-term stability index of material quality, absolute supplying possibility, low risk coefficient and especially the compliance of food safety standard provided by EC.

b) 12% remaining materials supplied from domestic manufacturers that passed the proper evaluating and selecting system of ISO 9001: 2000

c) 20% expenses for management, labor, others…

: Perfect production technologies, which are tested, checked and satisfying 100% requirements of customers when designed new products;
  : Being implemented, compared and inspected results of packaging, using but have been expanded widely and deeply due to limitations of productions ranges;
    : High technologies in plastic packaging departments are only produced in two companies (1% total plastic producing companies), 01 is in studying, because of limitations of the input (retort CPP materials) and costs.

Production data from 01.2007 to 05.2007 show results in process deploying technology – production that is trending direction correctively with norms planned:

A. Dealing with risks :

1. Due to environmental changes:

Gradual reduction of capacities of machineries and equipments due to their long lives

Limitations of expanding production volumes

Financial enforcement of crediting, mortgages due to these goods, products are solving liquid capitals

2. Due to external environments:

Appearances of new competitors

Strategic changes of competitors aiming to goods having high interest rates (aluminum bags, aluminum plating and chilli past bags). 

Customers bargaining prices and credit levels (purchasing) when there are many businesses offering same product.

Brand name reputation is heightened up, some customers want to increase quantity, types but the Company cannot satisfy all.

Prices of plastic materials surge many times due to increase of international oil prices that makes interest reduce.

B. Taking all opportunities:

In the globalization of national scope, planning and carrying out road map of changing into Saplastic Joint- Stock Company to mobilize power of capitals, investment, subsidies, expand production and business.

Taking advantages of brand name certificated (in 2006) of ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001: 2004 during process marketing and selling goods.

The Company selects to produce its strong goods upon bases of increase productivity of customers because of starting up the integration process into WTO.

Due to precious experience in producing, trading high quality goods, to stabilize organization, arrange human force, especially paying attention into workers high skills, training, finding, selecting and mobilizing capacities of human power.

Changing selling policies actively, stabilizing marketing staffs, planning quickly changes of policies of price, services (after selling) suitably with new competitive situations.

Holding quickly and applying successfully new technologies of plastic department in 2004 – 2005 in order to pushing up strongly training strongly resource.

Pushing up works of maintenances, machinery innovation and productivity increase reasonably in technologies.

Exploiting advantages of traditional trade relationships with big plastic material suppliers (Dupon, Dow Chemical, Exxon Mobil,…) to find, test new materials to reduce production costs so as to low prime costs.
